Living In Ealing, London

What Makes it Unique?

Ealing is a West London suburb that is sought-after by families thanks to its location, green spaces and good transport links to London.

‘Ealing’ is in fact made up of a range of areas: West Ealing, South Ealing, Ealing Broadway and Ealing Common.

Ealing is of course home to Ealing Studios which is a television and film production company in the heart of Ealing and is in fact the oldest studio in the world!

Interestingly, when people buy a home in Ealing, they often love it so much that they choose to stay…

This has resulted in a strong community presence and a number of community events throughout the year such as comedy shows, festivals and theatre shows.

Local residents also fight a lot of planning applications in fear that the area will become overdeveloped and will lose its current appeal.

Ealing Broadway is home to brands such as M&S, Cath Kidson, Oliver Bonas and Superdry and locally there are restaurants such as Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Five Guys, Wagamama, Carluccio’s and Franco Manca.

Ealing has a number of green spaces, such as Ealing Common, Walpole Park, Gunnersbury Park and Lammas Park, which are popular with local residents and families!

Schooling is good in Ealing and is a big draw for potential home buyers…

Some of the best schools in and around Ealing include: Notting Hill and Ealing High School, St Benedict's School, Fielding Primary School, Montpelier Primary School, St Augustine’s Priory and Ealing Independent College.

In recent years, a number of families have moved from more central locations such as Bayswater, Notting Hill, Kensington and Fulham in order to get more for their money as well as the good commute…

If and when the Elizabeth Line actually is completed, a journey from Ealing Broadway to Bond Street will only take an incredible 11 minutes! It will take circa 18 minutes to get to Liverpool Street and circa 25 minutes to Canary Wharf, which makes Ealing an outstanding future proposition for commuters!

Away from the Elizabeth Line, Ealing Broadway underground station takes commuters to Bond Street in 22 minutes and to Oxford Circus in 23 minutes.

South Ealing underground station takes commuters to Knightsbridge in 21 minutes and Green Park in 23 minutes.

It’s easy to see why Ealing is such a sought-after area with families!
