Pros
You live on one level, meaning that it is far easier to move around your property.
It is far easier to watch over/ look after young children if you are all living on the same level.
With no stairs, there is no need to worry about the potential for your child to have an accident and to worry about whether your safety gate has been properly locked or not.
Single storey properties often come with a balcony or even a terrace.

Cons
With single storey living, it is more difficult for teenagers/ young adults to find space that is private.
