You can add a firepit to keep you warm on colder nights.
You can always continue the tiles from the inside of the property to the outside to make the patio garden a literal continuation - a true inside/ outside living space.
You can install an enclosed garden room to protect you from the elements when the weather is bad, but it will still allow you access to fresh air.
You can add varying levels to the patio garden.
You can have designated areas - one for eating with a dining table and chairs and another with sunken seats around a firepit, for example.
