Why Is Summer 2020 Different To Normal Summers?

Usually, the summer is a quieter time of the year than others months due to the fact that people often spend their summer holidays on holiday or taking a couple of weeks off from the hustle and bustle of work…

Spring is usually the busiest time of the year…

However, with Coronavirus and the lockdown that was not allowed to be the case!

Thus, with the pent up demand, as well as the continuing uncertainty about how long Coronavirus will be around for, has caused a lot of purchases and sales to go through.

Demand has also increased because for a lot of potential home buyers their priorities have changed…

They have realised that they would like to live in the outskirts of London and get far more for their money!

“Spring is usually the busiest time of the year.”

According to Rightmove, properties that are on the market have dropped by 8% in comparison to this time last year, meaning that there are more buyers than sellers…

This will push prices up as competitive bidding wars could come into play.

Solicitors, surveyors, etc, will be working incredibly hard with a win range of clients.

I recommend that everyone remains patient (or try their best to!) as this is an unprecedented time in history and it has shaken the property world up completely.

Has Coronavirus and the pent up demand made you change your priorities in term of your lifestyle?
